THE LISBON REVIEW 2004 The results of the Forum's second Lisbon Review were released at the European Economic Summit 2004, (28-30 April 2004; Warsaw, Poland).
The Lisbon Review assesses the progress made by the 15 EU member states in implementing the far-reaching goals contained in the Lisbon Strategy.
Along with assessing the performance of the 15 existing members, this year’s Review also looks at the competitive performance of the accession countries (1 May 2004), as well as those scheduled to join in 2007.
The Review includes the competitive performance of the EU accession states:
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia.
The Review analyses how well prepared these countries are to join the EU in the context of the Lisbon Strategy's goals, and indicates where attention should be focused to ensure they contribute effectively to the competitiveness of an expanded EU. | |
